Who are we putting our trust in?
Do we try to do this whole life thing alone or are we giving control to God?
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is in the LORD.”
Jeremiah 17:7
Many times I think that the things I’m working through are too miniscule for God to be bothered with. If you’ve been in church much, you’ve likely been told that no problem is too small to bring to God.
And yet we still hold things back.
But is that really true? Is no problem too small?
I don’t think I hold things back on purpose, I literally just do not think about giving everything, every day.
But quite honestly, I don’t think it’s about the size of the problem, it’s about the communication.
Prayer
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
If we are really praying without ceasing, we are speaking to God about everything.
And guess what?
He wants to hear it.
Relationship with our Heavenly Father happens when we are open and share everything with each other. Yep. It’s a two-way street.
Bible reading
When we share our lives with Him, we need to listen for the response. Being in our Bibles, we get to hear God’s heart. Many times, He answers us through Scripture.
So if you aren’t making time in your Bible a priority, you are missing out.
I think the reason so many struggle to read their Bible is because of how powerful it is.
You see, Satan doesn’t like when we have the weapon that is Scripture, so I think he will do anything he can to make us believe we don’t have the time, ability to understand, or desire to read it.
Fight those feelings and make it a priority. Bible journaling has really helped me in the area of gaining passion and understanding.

Relationship
So, choose to give every detail to God. Don’t hold anything back. With a thankful heart toward a God who listens, let’s present every prayer, every grateful thought, every frustration, every joy to Him.
Let’s develop an open, transparent relationship.
“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
Philippians 4:6
“and my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
So be a no drama llama. Give it to God and release control of the situation to Him. He handles it way better than we ever could. And in doing so, we know that He will work things out for the best, taking care of our needs.
However, Giving God control doesn’t mean everything will magically improve instantly within our situation.
But how we handle things and the weight that we carry, can. Sometimes it’s less about the actual situation and more about us learning how to react, remain joyful, and put our trust in the LORD.
