Lately, I’ve been in a season of practicing patience. I always thought I was a patient person, but have learned in the last year that I’m just pretty good at waiting.
The difference between waiting and patience is the attitude you have during the wait.
I felt like the Holy Spirit whispered to me, “you HAVE to wait but you CHOOSE to be patient”.
It’s a choice. One we may need to make daily, hourly, or even minute by minute.
In Ecclesiastes 3, we read:
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;”
It goes on to list many more examples of different times.
I may not ever know what’s going on and what’s coming next, but man am I glad I know someone who does. He is the only one that knows no time. Who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)
Thank you, God, for being someone I can trust to have my best interest in mind so that I can give my anxiousness to you. While I stand ready to respond to what you want, I will wait patiently for your timing.

I used watercolors to create this 4-seasons tree. I would share which kind with you, but I don’t recommend them because of how chalky they are.
Well, now I feel like I should tell you what they are so you can choose to avoid them. haha. They are the cheap, Michaels brand cake watercolors. I liked them just fine for when I first started and you can’t beat the price, but even years later, the chalk-like texture still comes off on my hands when I touch the page. It also gets on the page next to it with it’s chalky residue.
The black pen I used for the writing is a Faber-Castell Pitt Pen size S(small).
