Wisdom beyond understanding
Do you ever just read a passage that has you sitting there, jaw-dropped, in awe of our Creator? He, in all of His inconceivable wisdom, created the Earth and everything in it. Wow. Praise God.
Proverbs 8 speaks of wisdom in poetic form. I love all the descriptions within the chapter. Verses 27-29 are some of my favorites. Can you even imagine the kind of knowledge and wisdom our God has to even begin to think of all the intricate workings of every single thing? Don’t think too hard on it, you may pass out. It’s just so overwhelming.
I(wisdom) was there when he set the heavens in place, when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep, when he established the clouds above and fixed securely the fountains of the deep, when he gave the sea its boundary so the waters would not overstep his command, and when he marked out the foundations of the earth.
That has always baffled me. How the waters know where to stop so as not to flood over everything. Just incredible.
I think I’ll just sit here in awe a bit longer and praise The One whose wisdom is beyond what my brain can even fathom.

My son created a little tutorial video of me doing a portion of this page. I just used printer paper for it, but it should give you a better idea so that you can create a shoreline in your Bible as well!
There are many more passages that this tutorial could be helpful for.
Genesis 1:2 “The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.”
Psalm 23:1-2 “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.”
Psalm 89:8-9 “O LORD God of hosts, who is mighty as you are, O LORD, with your faithfulness all around you? You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, you still them.”
Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you”
The list goes on…..
For this page, I used Neocolor ii water-soluble crayons, a water brush, my Uniball Signo white gel pen(for the foam and bird bodies), and a grey Faber-Castell brush pen.
